Federally Qualified Health Care Centers (FQHC)
University Community Health Services is one of a family of more than 1,200 national health centers that provide care to more than 15 million people across the United States. Known as FQHCs, these community health centers are local, non-profit providers serving low income and medically underserved communities. They provide primary medical, dental, mental health, pharmacy, and other services based on a community's needs. Medicaid (TennCare), Medicare and most private insurance are accepted. Discounts are available for those without health insurance who meet income guidelines. Patients can also obtain low cost prescriptions and most lab tests provided on site are discounted or free.
